During the year, APA commenced a solar panel recycling pilot at the Darling Downs Solar Farm in Queensland, in partnership with PonyUp for Good. The initiative supports responsible resource use by diverting end-of-life solar panels from landfill and repurposing materials for community benefit.

Proceeds from the recycling program contribute to food relief through SecondBite, supporting Australians experiencing food insecurity. The initial collection at Darling Downs exceeded expectations, funding thousands of meals and demonstrating the potential to deliver both environmental and social value.

Since partnering with PonyUp for Good, APA's combined technology and solar panel collections have funded more than 77,500 meals nationally.

With additional collections planned across APA sites, the program is expected to generate further community benefit as it expands.

This initiative reflects APA's commitment to waste reduction and positive social outcomes.
