APA Grid provides APA’s transmission customers with a single platform to interact with APA across Australia (apart from the Victorian Transmission System). It allows customers to enter nominations, view reports and maintenance schedules for all transmission assets on the one site.
APA has introduced a Capacity Trading (operational transfer) service on two Queensland transmission pipelines (Roma Brisbane Pipeline and South West Queensland Pipeline) as part of our continuing effort to provide new and innovative services on the APA Grid (IT systems), as well as to support the commencement of the Wallumbilla Gas Supply Hub.
Capacity Trading will allow APA Shippers who buy and sell firm forward-haul capacity to transfer that capacity in the APA Grid. Shippers will also have the opportunity to advertise capacity that they want to buy or sell on a new Capacity Trading website, which is available to APA Shippers and the general public.
The Capacity Trading service marks another milestone in the provision of innovative and seamless services by APA. To learn more about Capacity Trading, please view the Capacity Trading Factsheet or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
APA has recently introduced an In-Pipe Trading service on two Queensland pipelines (RBP & SWQP) to complement existing service offerings, including the Capacity Trading service, to provide innovative and seamless services on APA’s East Coast Grid, as well as to support the Wallumbilla Gas Supply Hub.
APA’s In-Pipe Trade service is a voluntary, user pays service offering shippers the ability to manage the receipt and delivery of gas that has been traded at virtual receipt and delivery points on the pipeline. The service provides shippers with the flexibility to source gas on either a short or long term basis and reduce the administrative burden associated with shipper management of gas. The In-Pipe Trade service is of benefit to shippers that wish to trade gas with third parties. Shippers are also able to use the In-Pipe Trade functionality to correct account imbalances. The In-Pipe Trade functionality is included as part of the standard nomination process.
The In-Pipe Trading service is another significant achievement in the provision of seamless services by the APA. To learn more about In-Pipe Trading, please view the In-Pipe Trade Factsheet or email us at email@example.com.
