With its vast array of solar panels, the Darling Downs Solar Farm plays a vital role in turning the Queensland sun into electricity, reducing carbon emissions and powering approximately 36,000 homes with renewable energy.

DDSF was officially opened by Queensland Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy the Honourable Dr Anthony Lynham MP on Tuesday 12 November 2019.

Darling Downs South West in Queensland used to be known for its rich agriculture and primary industries, and is now making its mark with world class renewable energy facilities. The area now has more than 1 million solar panels, with a 400MW capacity.
