The CSGHP makes use of the extraordinary sunshine in the Pilbara to displace approximately 100 million litres of diesel fuel annually, delivering a greener, more sustainable energy supply.

The Nyiyaparli people are the Traditional Owners of the land on which the CSGHP is located. APA has a Native Title agreement with the Nyiyaparli people and provides ongoing opportunities to contract to or work on the project.

On behalf of the Australian Government, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) provided $24.2 million for the Project as part of its Advancing Renewables Program. The Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) has also provided a loan of approximately $90 million for the Project.

Deloitte Access Economics forecast that during construction, this project generated public benefits to the region of $221 million, from around 200 jobs.
