Watch out for Job Scams!

Scammers are sneaky. They pretend to be real companies to trick people looking for jobs. They might use a company's name and logo to steal your personal information or your money.

Here's how to stay safe when applying for jobs, especially at APA Group:

  • Never send money: A real company will never ask you to pay for anything during the hiring process.
  • Check email addresses: APA Group will only contact you using an official “@apa.com.au" email address. Be wary of emails from personal accounts like Gmail or Yahoo.
  • Don't trust social media offers: APA Group won't offer you a job through Facebook, Instagram, or other social media platforms.

Warning signs of a scam:

  • The offer seems too good to be true: Things like super high pay for easy work are a big red flag.
  • You get a job offer without an interview: Real companies want to meet you before they hire you.
  • They ask for money: Never give out your bank account or credit card information to a potential employer. We will never ask for your bank account details before starting a job.
  • They ask you to pay for things: You should never have to pay for training, credit reports, or equipment before starting a job.
  • They ask you to transfer money: This is a classic scam tactic.
