Working with APA
APA is committed to making optimal procurement decisions that provide best value for money on a total cost basis, based on competitive pricing and having regard to health and safety, environmental, technical, quality, and timeliness requirements. Sourcing, category management and contractor and supplier management for goods and services will be undertaken at the most appropriate level for each category – be it at a national, regional, and/or individual asset/site level.
Supplying to APA
Unless a separate overriding contract has been entered into with APA, all goods and services supplied to APA need be in accordance with our Purchase Order Terms and Conditions.
Our suppliers and contractors and their personnel are required to adhere to specific APA policies and procedures whenever they are on an APA site, including for example Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Alcohol and Drug Policy. Suppliers and contractors are responsible for reading and adhering to these policies and procedures.
As Australia's leading energy infrastructure business we are committed to maintaining a high standard in delivering our commitments to our stakeholders. Our suppliers and contractors are an integral part of our high quality service delivery.
The APA Supplier Prequalification Program (ASP Program) ensures that our suppliers and contractors understand our requirements to comply with stringent legislative and corporate social responsibility standards. As part of the program, key APA suppliers will be requested to provide corporate information, performance data and supporting documents to APA. The ASP Program is hosted for APA by BROWZ.
Dial Before You Dig
Prior to commencing excavation on an APA site, our suppliers and contractors are required to identify the presence of any underground utility infrastructure. This includes, as a first step, contacting the free national Dial Before You Dig service.
