Gas Specifications

Central Region Pipelines

Amadeus Gas Pipeline

APA requires the gas specification to comply with the published Gas Specification for this pipeline. APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with its relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the Access Arrangement for this pipeline.

Bonaparte Gas Pipeline

EII requires the gas specification to comply with the published Gas Specification for this pipeline. EII will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with its relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the SGTA (East and Central).

Sea Gas Pipeline

The SEA Gas Pipeline is a non-scheme pipeline.

South East South Australia Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564). APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

East Coast Grid

Berwyndale Wallumbilla Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564). APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with its relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

Carpentaria Gas Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564). APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

Ready Creek Wallumbilla Gas Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564). APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with its relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the SGTA (East and Central).

Roma Brisbane Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the published Gas Specification for this pipeline. APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the Access Arrangement for this pipeline.

South West Queensland Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the following requirements:

  • South West Queensland Pipeline, Wallumbilla Compression Facility A and Moomba Compression Facility — the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564).
  • Wallumbilla Compression Facility B — this Gas Specification.

APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

Wallumbilla Gladstone Pipeline

The required Gas Specification for the WGP is available in the Pipeline System Rules. APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with its relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

Central Ranges Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564). APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

Central West Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564). APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

Moomba Sydney Pipeline

APA requires the Gas Specification or any other quality to comply with the relevant Australian Standard (AS 4564). APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in APA’s SGTA (East and Central).

West Coast Grid

Pilbara Pipeline System

In Western Australia, transmission pipeline gas specifications are governed by State legislation – the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009 (2009 Act) – and by regulations made under that Act. The 2009 Act provides for a Western Australian standard specification, which is set out in the regulations (with some variations for particular pipelines), and a reference specification for each pipeline. These specifications are necessary for the operation of the scheme of the legislation.

 

The standard gas quality specification for the PPS is set out in clause 1 of Schedule 1 to the Western Australian Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010. The reference specifications for the PPS are set out in clause 3B of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

 

APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the SGTA (West).

 

Telfar Gas Pipeline

In Western Australia, transmission pipeline gas specifications are governed by State legislation — the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009 (2009 Act) — and by regulations made under that Act. The 2009 Act provides for a Western Australian standard specification, which is set out in the regulations (with some variations for particular pipelines), and a reference specification for each pipeline. These specifications are necessary for the operation of the scheme of the legislation.

 

The TGP and NGL are prescribed clause 1 pipelines under the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010.

The reference specifications for the TGP and NGL are set out in clause 1 of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

 

EII will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the SGTA (West) and the 2009 Act and underlying regulations, where applicable.

 

Northern goldfields interconnect

In Western Australia, transmission pipeline gas specifications are governed by state legislation – the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009 (2009 Act) – and by regulations made under that Act. The 2009 Act provides for a Western Australian standard specification, which is set out in the regulations (with some variations for particular pipelines), and a reference specification for each pipeline. These specifications are necessary for the operation of the scheme of the legislation.

The standard quality specification for the NGI is set out in clause 1 of Schedule 1 to the Western Australian Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifcations) Regulations 2010. The reference specifications for the NGI are set out in clause 4 of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

Goldfields Gas Pipeline

In Western Australia, transmission pipeline gas specifications are governed by state legislation – the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009 (2009 Act) – and by regulations made under that Act.  The 2009 Act provides for a Western Australian standard specification, which is set out in the regulations (with some variations for particular pipelines), and a reference specification for each pipeline.  These specifications are necessary for the operation of the scheme of the legislation.

 

The GGP has been declared a PIA Pipeline for the purposes of the Western Australian Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009. The operator of the Goldfields Gas Pipeline, under the 2009 Act, is Southern Cross Pipelines Australia Pty Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of APA Group.

 

The standard gas quality specification for the Goldfields Gas Pipeline is set out in clause 3 of Schedule 1 to the Western Australian Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010. The reference specifications for the Goldfields Gas Pipeline are set out in clause 3A of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

 

The Wiluna, Mt Keith, Leinster and Parkeston laterals are all prescribed clause 3A pipelines under the West Australia Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010, to which the Goldfields Gas Pipeline reference specification applies.

 

APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the SGTA (West) and the 2009 Act and underlying regulations, where applicable.

 

Eastern Goldfields Pipeline System

In Western Australia, transmission pipeline gas specifications are governed by state legislation — the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009 (2009 Act) — and by regulations made under that Act. The 2009 Act provides for a Western Australian standard specification, which is set out in the regulations (with some variations for particular pipelines), and a reference specification for each pipeline. These specifications are necessary for the operation of the scheme of the legislation.

 

The EGPS is a prescribed 3A pipeline under the West Australia Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010. The reference specifications for the EGPS are set out in clause 3A of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

 

APA will measure and/or monitor gas quality in accordance with relevant obligations under contract. Quality obligations are outlined in the SGTA (West) and the 2009 Act and underlying regulations, where applicable.

 

Parmelia Gas Pipeline

In Western Australia, transmission pipeline gas specifications are governed by state legislation – the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009 (2009 Act) – and by regulations made under that Act. The 2009 Act provides for a Western Australian standard specification, which is set out in the regulations (with some variations for particular pipelines), and a reference specification for each pipeline. These specifications are necessary for the operation of the scheme of the legislation.

 

The standard gas quality specifications for the PGP and Kwinana Supply Lateral are set out in clause 2 of Schedule 1 to the Western Australian Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010.

 

The reference specifications for the PGP and Kwinana Supply Lateral are set out in clause 2 of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

Kalgoorlie Kambalda Pipeline

In Western Australia, transmission pipeline gas specifications are governed by State legislation – the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009 (2009 Act) – and by regulations made under that Act. The 2009 Act provides for a Western Australian standard specification, which is set out in the regulations (with some variations for particular pipelines), and a reference specification for each pipeline. These specifications are necessary for the operation of the scheme of the legislation.

 

The KKP is a prescribed 3A pipeline under the West Australia Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010. The reference specifications for the KKP are set out in clause 3A of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.
