APA owns and operates the natural gas distribution network in Tamworth, New South Wales. Gas retailers use this network to transport gas sourced by them to customers connected to APA’s network. Some large industrial gas users may also use the network to transport gas sourced independently of a retailer.

The Central Ranges Pipeline (CRP) Gas Network consists of approximately 230 kilometres of gas distribution network in Tamworth. The CRP Gas Network takes gas from the Central Ranges Pipeline at the Tamworth Receiving Station. Subject to adequate pressure on the Central West Pipeline and Central Ranges Pipeline, the capacity of the Tamworth Receiving Station is approximately 4.56TJ/day. A map of the Tamworth network can be found here. The Tamworth gas distribution network does not include any large distribution pipelines as defined in the National Gas Rules. |

The CRP Gas Network is a non-scheme pipeline. It has been granted a category 2 exemption (nameplate capacity less than 10TJ/day) from aspects of the information disclosure and reporting requirements under Part 10 of the National Gas Rules. |

For APA's non-scheme pipelines, you have a right to make a Formal Access Request pursuant to Rule 559 of the National Gas Rules. The CRP Network has been granted a category 2 exemption (nameplate capacity less than 10TJ/day) from aspects of the information disclosure and reporting requirements under Part 10 of the National Gas Rules. The Central Ranges Network is required to report actual prices payable information reported under Rule 101E. As a distribution network, all shippers pay the published tariffs shown above. |
