APA’s Social Investment Framework supports targeted, long-term and sustainable initiatives, aligned with APA’s corporate goals, community needs and aspirations, including broader regional economic development goals.   

Our social investment priority areas are: 

Regional and Remote Communities Building the strength and resilience of regional economies and communities located near APA assets / projects 
First Nations peoples – Working partnership with First Nations Peoples to support better outcomes for First Nations communities and heritage 
Climate Transition Supporting communities in climate transition and outcomes and adaptation activities 
Natural Environment – Protecting and enhancing the natural environments and biodiversity located near APA assets / projects 

Corporate Partnerships 

At its core are our corporate partnerships with these organisations: 

  • The Fred Hollows Foundation: in Australia, working to improve the health and wellbeing of Indigenous communities in remote locations. 
  • The Clontarf Foundation: working to improve the education, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men. 
  • Stars Foundation: working to improve gender equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls through intensive support programs in high schools. 
  • Rural Aid: builds resilience in rural communities by providing support to farmers affected by natural disasters through financial, wellbeing and fodder assistance.   
  • Uniting: APA’s partnership supports the Energy Literacy Program, providing individual referral and advocacy assistance to residents and families experiences energy affordability hardship.    

Community Grant Programs 

APA’s Social Investment Program also supports causes close to the hearts of the communities APA works within and APA people through our Community Grants Programs.
