I joined APA as a graduate engineer and have been with the company for almost 2 years now. 

Working here has been the best professional experience I've ever had. APA has a great working environment. People here are very smart, focused, generous and supportive with a great amount of autonomy and respect for each other.

At APA we enjoy a multi-cultural environment with a mix of workers from different ethnic backgrounds where everyone is working together to achieve the same goal.   I feel that the opportunities to grow my career are excellent here.  APA wants people to succeed and they provide the environment and the support to do that.  It’s a positive work environment.  

As a graduate engineer, I have had the opportunity to learn both technical and management skills from highly qualified and experienced co-workers.  I find what I do challenging, exciting and rewarding and I’ve been encouraged to keep on learning and growing my skills.

I’m a relative newcomer to APA, having only been here a few months having come from a diverse background from an experience perspective. 

From the first time I stepped through the doors at APA I knew that this was the right company for me. I know it sounds like a cliché but it just felt right.   APA is a dynamic and fast moving company that is continually growing but still has that small company feel. After working with a number of large organisations (both private and public sector) over the years it is nice to work for a company that is not only committed to its growth but values its people as well.   

My role as General Manager, Health, Safety & Environment is a brand new role which gives me the opportunity to set up a HSE structure that best suits the dynamic needs of the business.  It’s rare to get an opportunity like that so I’m looking forward to being able to influence the way things are done and to helping the HSE team grow.

Working for a company who is really committed to HSE is like a breath of fresh air.  I’m looking forward to learning more about the business and making a positive contribution to maintaining a safe environment for our people.
